PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Liberty Eagle is a patriotic statement belt built around a heavyweight oval buckle and full-length patriotic embossing. The oval format is distinctive in western hardware — most statement buckles use rectangular or shield shapes. At 89mm × 66mm and 90g, this is one of the heavier buckles in the western range.
The navy-blue enamel inlay on the buckle face is baked enamel rather than painted — the colour is fused into the recessed areas of the alloy casting rather than applied as a surface coat. Baked enamel holds colour better at sustained friction points than painted or dipped finishes.
The strap uses split leather with a continuous American flag and eagle emboss across the full strap length — flags and soaring eagles running the entire visible length of the belt, not just the front section. The reverse side uses a soft matte black backing.
The screw-rivet attachment system is different from the snap system used on other western belts in the range. Instead of a snap post, the buckle attaches to the strap via two removable screws. Shortening the belt requires only a standard screwdriver — no snap hole punch tool needed.

THE SCREW-RIVET SYSTEM
The screw-rivet attachment is the practical differentiator on this belt. Unlike the snap system on the Longhorn Rodeo and Crusader belts, the screw-rivet uses two removable screws to attach the buckle to the strap. To shorten the belt:
- Remove the screws with a standard screwdriver
- Slide the buckle off the strap
- Trim the strap from the buckle end to your measured length
- Re-attach the buckle with the screws
No specialist tools required — a standard Phillips or flathead screwdriver handles the entire process. The screw-rivet also allows buckle swapping onto other 38mm straps with compatible screw-rivet holes.
COLOUR OPTIONS
Standard finish (bronze prefix): Camel, black, brown, red brown — solid toned leather with consistent grain.
Distressed finish (Guxi prefix): A two-tone aged appearance where the emboss pattern is highlighted by the tonal variation — the raised areas of the emboss carry a lighter tone and the recessed areas carry a deeper tone. The distressed finish makes the flag and eagle pattern more visible by increasing contrast between the emboss levels.

Wipe with a damp cloth. Apply light leather conditioner every 3–6 months. Avoid sustained water exposure. Monthly brushing along the emboss direction maintains pattern definition.

What does “Guxi” finish mean? Guxi refers to the distressed two-tone finish — the leather has a vintage aged appearance where the raised emboss areas are lighter and the recessed areas are deeper. This increases the visual contrast of the flag and eagle pattern compared to the standard single-tone finish.
Is the enamel durable? The navy-blue enamel is baked rather than painted — it is fused into the recessed areas of the alloy casting. Baked enamel holds colour better than painted finishes at normal wear friction points.
Is the buckle removable? Yes. Two screw rivets attach the buckle to the strap — remove with a standard screwdriver. The buckle can be swapped onto other 38mm straps with compatible screw-rivet holes.
Can I shorten this belt? Yes — and easier than snap belt shortening. Remove the screws with a standard screwdriver, trim the strap from the buckle end, reattach. No specialist punch tool required.
Is the buckle heavy? At 90g it is one of the heaviest buckles in the western range. Under normal wear it does not pull the waistband down.
