The insignia is a genuine Navy SEAL motif: the Frogman or Budweiser design associated with Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training. 3. Seal the cut edge with a lighter — pass the flame quickly along the cut edge to fuse the canvas fibres and prevent fraying
4. Reattach the buckle

The lighter-seal step is specific to canvas — do not use this method on leather belts.
