A 35mm ratchet buckle head with a dual-surface finish: a matte textured black panel across most of the face with a polished vertical centre bar. The contrast between the two surfaces creates visual depth at close range without requiring a motif or logo.
The internal clamp uses 7 precision spikes that engage the ratchet-track groove on the back of the strap when the jaw is closed. The spikes bite into the end of the strap that sits inside the buckle housing — the visible strap face is unaffected. The clamp holds under high daily tension and releases with the side-trigger lever.
The textured finish has two practical benefits: it masks fingerprints and minor surface marks more effectively than a plain polished face, and it provides a grippable surface when operating the side-trigger.

COMPATIBILITY — READ BEFORE ORDERING
Ratchet-track straps only. This buckle is designed for straps with an internal ratchet track groove running the back face of the strap. It is not compatible with:
- Standard pin-buckle straps with punched holes
- Solid leather or canvas straps without a track groove
- Straps wider than 35mm
To confirm your strap is compatible: look at the back face of the strap. A compatible strap has a continuous groove or rail running the length of the strap. A standard belt strap has no groove.
Width note: Optimised for 35mm. Compatible with 33–35mm straps — if using a 33mm strap, centre it before clamping for a balanced appearance.
HOW TO INSTALL
- Use your thumb or a flat tool to flip open the 7-spike clamp on the back of the buckle
- Slide the ratchet-track strap into the buckle housing — track groove facing inward
- Snap the spiked jaw closed — the 7 teeth engage the strap
- Pull the strap firmly to confirm the clamp is fully seated
- Test the side-trigger release: press to confirm it releases cleanly
