This belt is cut from a single piece of top-layer cowhide — the outermost layer of the hide where the fibre density is highest. It will not peel, delaminate, or crack at the holes under daily wear. The 4mm thickness gives it the bending stiffness to hold flat in a 38–40mm denim loop without rolling forward at the buckle area.
The buckle is solid brass — not brass-plated, not brass-toned zinc alloy. Solid brass does not chip or corrode. It develops a natural warm patina over years of wear that matches the character of the leather as it ages. The antique brass finish on this buckle complements Khaki leather particularly well as both materials develop depth and warmth with use.
The X-stitch reinforcement at the buckle end is structural, not decorative. It prevents the strap from tearing at the highest-stress point under sustained tension.
Fit and sizing: The buckle attaches via a screw fastener. To fit to your exact waist length: unscrew the buckle, trim from the buckle end with scissors, punch a new hole with the included tool, and reattach. The process takes under two minutes and produces a precise fit. Order 110–120cm for most waist sizes; order 130–135cm if you need more length.
Available in Khaki, Black, and Dark Coffee. The Khaki leather will darken to a rich amber-brown over the first months of wear — this is a normal characteristic of natural, uncorrected top-layer leather, not a defect.
