34mm (this belt): Correct for formal suit trousers and dress trousers where loops are 30–35mm. Passes through narrow formal loops without forcing them. Not ideal for jeans loops (typically 38–42mm) where it will have excess lateral play.
35mm (FormLine, Executive, SharpGlide): The versatile business width. Fits most dress trousers and chinos correctly and works in jeans loops with modest clearance.
38mm (everyday casual and denim): Correct for standard denim and workwear loops. Too wide for most formal trouser loops.

- Mark the cut point on the back face of the strap — always cut from the buckle end, never the finished tip end
- Cut with sharp scissors at a 90-degree angle in one clean stroke
- Reinsert the trimmed strap into the buckle housing and press the clamp until it engages
- Pull the buckle firmly to confirm the clamp is fully seated
