The strap uses a cowhide surface layer over a split leather core — a layered construction. This is the correct approach to understand before purchasing: layered construction with an adhesive bond between layers is less durable under sustained daily wear than single-layer construction. HOW TO TRIM TO FIT
- Press the release lever on the side of the buckle and slide the strap out of the housing
- Measure your waist at belt loop level
- Mark the cut point on the back face of the strap — always cut from the buckle end, never the finished tip end
- Cut with sharp scissors at a 90-degree angle in one clean stroke
- Reinsert the trimmed strap into the buckle housing and press the clamp until it engages
- Pull the buckle firmly to confirm the clamp is fully seated
